Where To Go In Egypt

We are committed to our work at the school, but everyone needs to be adventurous.  As Princess likes to sing, "let's go...on an adventure today, let's go...it will be so great!"

Here is the list of things to do in Egypt.  The list is not complete because we are updating it as we explore the country.  It is our goal to see the ancient side of this country as well as the modern side that we see on a day to day basis.  This list will grow and expand as we venture out into the unknown.

In Cairo:

1) Hussein Mosque and Souk
2) Mohamed Ali Mosque and Fortress
3) Al-Azhar Park
4) Tahrir Square (when there is not a protest)
5) The Citadel

In Giza:

1) The Pyramids of Giza (costs 60LE)
When you visit the Pyramids you must do the following:

a) Ride a camel around the pyramids (should cost you 50 LE)
b) Go inside at least one of the pyramids (ranges from 30 LE to 100 LE)
c) Visit the Sphinx.

In Alexandria:

1) The Roman Catacombs
2) The Waterfront
3) The Alexandria Library (costs 4 LE)
4) Quaitbay Fort

The Red Sea Coast:

1) Ain Soukhna (a quiet town on the Red Sea close to where Moses parted the Red Sea)
- Close to Ain Soukhna are several monasteries, however, to visit them you need to have a car as taxi service is virtually impossible to obtain.
